Cumbria Is Most Popular Holiday Home Location In Money No Object Survey
A recent survey has revealed that if money is no issue, the Lake District is the most popular location for a holiday home.

Research carried out by Schofields Holiday Home Insurance and reported by Female First, highlights that the Lake District is the number one destination if money was not an object when it came to buying a holiday home. When people were asked where they 'd buy a holiday lodge normally, though, Cornwall came out on top.

As part of the research, 1,911 adults were asked to state their ideal holiday home location. The results were Cornwall first, followed by Devon, Cumbria, Norfolk and Dorset in fifth place.

However, when money was no longer an issue, this is how the top 10 destinations looked:.

1. Lake District.

2. Devon (South Coast).

3. Sandbanks, Dorset.

4. Cotswolds.

5. Cornwall (North Coast).

6. Scottish Highlands.

7. Pembrokeshire.

8. Devon (North Coast).

9. Norfolk.

10. Brighton.

Phil Schofield, spokesperson for Schofields Holiday Home Insurance, said: "The UK is incredibly rich in holiday home hotspots; something that the unpredictable weather often causes us to forget ... It was surprising to see that although Cornwall was currently the place in which most holiday homes could be found, based on our data, the Lake District was actually the most desirable location for a second property if money wasn't an issue.".
